Lemon balm

Melissa officinalis

It is a perennial shrub is native to the Mediterranean, that grows up to 1 m. high and 45 cm. wide. Propagation occurs by stem cuttings. It prefers areas completely exposed to the sun and requires moist soils.

Applications:

The leaves can be used to make infusions and oils. It has a relaxing effect that can induce sleep and fight depression. It also has an analgesic effect and reduces blood pressure levels, flatulence and prevents cramping. It also relieves throat irritation.
