Plectranthus ornatus Codd

It is native to countries like Venezuela, Paraguay and Brazil. It grows as a medium-sized tree that can exceed 15 meters in height. Its growth is slow since it requires several decades to reach its adult size. Its most usual form is as a shrub or small tree. It has bright green leaves and reproduces by seeds.

Applications:

The leaves are often used to prepare a tea. It is beneficial to the digestive system, and helps fight liver disease, fever, stomach disorders and indigestion.
