Gardens of La Palomera
Alicia Nieto's Garden

Alicia is a key person in the community of La Palomera and a spokesperson representing the La Cruz sector. In various parts of her house she has planted chili peppers, scallions and paprika that she uses for seasoning when cooking. Her grandchildren help her to water and take care of the plants. They also find it interesting to see how they grow over time. They also grow medicinal plants such as lemon balm, oregano and malojillo. Alicia and her grandchildren love to make lemon balm tea in the afternoons to relax.
